50th Anniversary

I love this cake! It is one of my favorites, even though it has many many flaws. We decided to throw my grandparents a surprise party for their 50th Anniversary this year. I fell in love with this cake and it's simple elegance. The vine and flowers form a family tree. Each member of our family is represented by a flower and so we can see how much our family has grown. As for the cake itself, this was the first time I dried decorations, so I learned that it is hard to stick dried fondant to dried fondant. Dried to wet works or wet to wet, but not dry to dry. I also learned how to use the painted on food coloring. That was pretty cool.
